ginger hollander (they/them) is a freelance sexuality educator based in new york city, with a master's in human sexuality from widener university.

hi, i’m ginger! i’m a photographer, sex educator, and internet-obsessed queer raised in south florida and based in nyc. i care deeply about media and porn literacy, the intersection of social media and sexuality, algorithmic censorship, trans community, and many niche youtubers. i also love pink and green color coordination, critically analyzing reality tv, making up portmanteaus, and playing tambourine.

i hold a master’s of education in human sexuality studies from widener university and a bachelor of arts in sociology from wesleyan university.

i was previously the social media and community marketing manager for queer indie porn studio AORTA films before starting my own freelance sexuality education business, spicy ginger communications.

i bring a queer, playful approach to sex ed, with a major goal of helping people reflect on how their sexual desires, behaviors, and practices can better align with their personal values. i’m available to facilitate workshops, both online and in-person, and for speaking engagements.

my photographic practice primarily focuses on self-portraits, still lifes, and capturing trans, disabled domesticity with my partner and two cats named boogie and emoji. recent publications include STRAP Magazine (Manchester, UK), an anthology of us (Berlin, Germany), and Dyke Zine (Brooklyn, USA).
